Kiajer Youth Empowerment Initiative (KYEI) joyfully celebrated its 1-Year Anniversary on October 4th, 2025, at Transcorp Hotel, Kano Hall, Abuja, marking one year of meaningful work in empowering youth and women across Nigeria and Africa.
The event brought together leaders, dignitaries, partners, and changemakers from across sectors, all united by a shared vision of creating opportunities, hope, and transformation for underprivileged communities.
A Celebration of Purpose and Progress
Over the past year, Kiajer Youth Empowerment Initiative has remained deeply committed to transforming lives through education, skills acquisition, mentorship, and economic empowerment.
In just one year, Kiajer has:
- Paid examination fees for 48 students at LEA Kubwa 3, Abuja.
- Provided learning materials and planted eco-friendly trees in schools.
- Trained hundreds of youths and women in vocational and entrepreneurial skills.
- Supported women-led initiatives through empowerment and advocacy programs.
The anniversary celebration was not just an event — it was a reflection of the lives changed and futures brightened through these initiatives.
Special Guests and Distinguished Remarks
The event featured dignitaries from government, civil society, and humanitarian organizations.
Among them was Her Excellency, Mrs. Titi Atiku Abubakar, Founder of Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF). She commended Kiajer for its outstanding work and impact in youth and women empowerment, and expressed hope for a strategic collaboration between Kiajer and WOTCLEF to further expand their joint humanitarian efforts.
Her Excellency’s words inspired everyone present, emphasizing the power of collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals across Nigeria.
Powerful Stories of Impact
The highlight of the event came from beneficiaries whose lives have been transformed through Kiajer’s programs:
- A teacher from LEA Kubwa 3, Abuja, shared heartfelt remarks about Kiajer’s intervention in their school – paying the Junior WAEC fees for 48 students, donating reading materials, and planting trees. She spoke passionately about how this support boosted student morale and academic performance.
The students also gave a beautiful and emotional performance of “We Are the World” by Michael Jackson, reminding everyone of the power of unity and compassion.
- A young woman from the Beads to Brilliance Project shared how the skills she learned in bead making have changed her life. Today, she proudly makes and sells her designs, earning steady income and supporting her family.
- Another participant from Chihiro Skills Acquisition Training spoke about learning to produce liquid soap, body cream, shampoo, and air freshener. She joyfully shared how these skills have empowered her to provide for her family by using and selling her products to sustain her household.
These testimonials moved the audience, showing the real-life results of empowerment in action.
Fundraising for Greater Impact
In line with its vision for expansion, Kiajer launched a ₦500 Million Fundraising Campaign titled “Mobilizing Momentum for Greater Impact.”
The campaign aims to reach more communities with educational support, vocational training, and women empowerment programs.
